This Privacy Policy explains what information Cross Knives (“we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account info: your email address and display name.
Content you create: saved recipes, posts, captions, and photos you upload.
Usage data: generation counts (to enforce limits) and basic technical data such as device/browser info and logs.
Payment info: if you subscribe, payments are handled by Stripe. We receive a customer ID and subscription status — we do not store your card details.

2. How we use it

To provide and operate the Service (accounts, saving, the feed).
To generate recipes and ideas you request.
To enforce usage limits and process subscriptions.
To secure the Service and prevent abuse.
To send account-related email (e.g. password resets).

3. Service providers

We share data with vendors that help us run the Service, only as needed:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
Vercel — hosting.
Anthropic — AI generation (your inputs are sent to generate recipes).
Stripe — payment processing.
Resend — sending account emails.

4. What others can see

Posts you share to the feed are public within the Service, including your display name, caption, photo, and the recipe. Saved recipes are private to your account. Your email and billing details are never shown to other users.

5. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, saved recipes, posts, and uploaded photos. Some records may be retained where required by law (e.g. payment records).

6. Your rights

You can access or update your account information, and you can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app. Depending on your location (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have additional rights — contact us to exercise them.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
